Documental video installation with live music | June 2019 | festival Vorbrenner 2019 | BRUX - freies Theater Innsbruck
By and with: Laura Immler, Hannes Köpke, Olivia Rosendorfer, Konstantin Sieghart, Julius Zimmermann
The documentary film installation with live music ZAPFEN FLECHTEN HOLZ – Ein Volkslied deals with the concept of homeland in Innsbruck, Wattens and their surrounding area. Directly after finishing Wo die schönen Trompeten blasen in Leipzig, it is our second work that deals with the construction of homeland narratives. Among other things, we accompanied the local farmer Rosi Prem in her work, spoke with the folk music researcher Thomas Nussbaumer in Innsbruck and with the local history researcher Simone Egger in Wattens.
In Wattens we organized a participatory feast, at which we also explicitly approached foreigners in order to have a dialogue with them about home and the food they had brought with them.
The project was created as part of the Vorbrenner Festival by BRUX - Freies Theater Innsbruck and was funded by the City of Innsbruck.
