I see you at the other end of the club queue, you look back and your eyes light up like shop windows. I can't find you inside. I taste you at the other end of the line, your aftertaste burns in my throat. I recognize you through the dancing others and don't dare come any closer. Circle around you like a moon. Wave ten euros as if I were fanning myself or inviting you for a drink. Just look at me at last. We won't get together that cheaply any more.

„So billig kommen wir nicht mehr zusammen“ is a club night interwoven with performances by and with Jasmina Rezig and Hannes Köpke in collaboration with SmashedCandy e.V. It's about raving when rents are rising, food prices and energy costs. Where can club culture overcome class boundaries, separate desire from the commodity, ritualize practices of community that are not designed for productivity - and where can the party not escape capitalist mechanisms, perhaps even reproducing and exacerbating them? „So billig kommen wir nicht mehr zusammen“ is designed as a self-financing series. As long as you keep coming and paying, it will go on.
