By and with: Laura Immler, Hannes Köpke, Ferdinand Nowitzky, Laura Pföhler, Konstantin Sieghart, Julius Zimmermann
Rita represents is a public research performance about the audience.
We visited various parts of Dresden, Plauen in Vogtland and Bautzen for two weeks with a coffee cart and 15 friendship books and collected a hundred opinions on the questions: what kind of events should take place? Where? What should they look like? We have implemented some requests as performances in public spaces or as videos. The process was documented daily on the blog ritas blog.
For the season opening of the European Center for the Arts in Hellerau, we stayed the whole day with the coffee cart and the friendship books in the Kulturgarten of Hellerau. There we continued discussions, served coffee and tea, showed videos and pictures of our previous results and discussed the process in a lecture performance with the audience.
The project was created in coproduction with HELLERAU - European Center for the Arts and was funded by the Office for Culture and Monument Protection of the City of Dresden and Stiftung Erlebnis Kunst.
